Indian Summers and Wishful Thinkers…
For those of you who are optimistic that we still have some summer left, or who are lucky enough to be going away on your summer holidays ‘off season’, you may be interested in this lovely multi-purpose sun oil from Davines. I like it because it leaves a subtle sexy glow on the skin without being greasy, and its scent pretty much sums up ‘exotic holiday’.
It has UV filters to protect against sun damage, but it doesn’t display an SPF, so unless you have skin that doesn’t burn, I wouldn’t use this in full-on glaring heat! However, it does help to protect the skin from the ravages of salt water and chlorine, and I used it recently (in ‘changeable’ French weather conditions) whilst dipping in and out of the pool.
The thing that most attracted me to this oil is that it has been formulated with Argan Oil, which is something that my skin guru, Nuz Shugaa, uses in her bespoke facials. It also has antioxidant properties due to added Vitamin E, and the Jojoba Oil gives a beautiful sheen.
My model top tip for using this product? I’ve been spraying it into the palms of my hands and then applying it to the ends of my hair to create a gorgeous shine. By scrunching my hands slightly, I created really sexy, tousled beach curls! Fab on blonde hair!
Davines ‘Su’ Sun Oil is £12.99 from www.myhairandbeauty.co.uk
