Just a little peek into my makeup and toiletries bag for the Glasgow trip last week; a few new things that I’m trying – I will report back on them in due time – and a few old favourites. Below the video there’s an inventory of all products included in the video. I haven’t done one of these ‘what’s in my kit’ videos in ages, partly due to the fact that I keep forgetting to, and partly because every time that I go away I’m shattered by the time I get to the hotel!

Products: Dove Deodorant, Tom Ford Black Orchid Touch Point Perfume, Arm and Hammer Sparkle Toothpaste, Moa Green Balm, Korres Travel Minatures (Aloe and Soapwort Shampoo, Achillea Conditioner), Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, Red Flower ‘Blood Orange’ Body Lotion, Embryolisse Foaming Cleanser, Biotherm Biocils Eye Makeup Remover Gel, Avene Soothing Eye Cream, Chanel Hydramax Serum, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser, Clinique Anti-Blemish Gel, Palmer’s Peppermint and Dark Chocolate Lip Balm, LA Science Lash Volumiser, Cosmetics A La Carte Secret Light concealer, Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara,  ELF eyeliner pencil, Laura Mercier Bronzing Powder, Aveda Kabuki Bronzing Brush.

hi ruth, are you finding that the lash treatment works?

  2. Rachael says:

Hi Ruth, I was just wondering how you are getting on with the clarisonic…your clarisonic diaries came to an abrupt halt?! Would like to know your thoughts about it as I’m thinking of purchasing. Many thanks!

  3. hey, ruth! not sure if you saw my tweet, but i was wondering if you’d consider doing a comparative review of the kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate and the estee lauder advanced night repair serums? i’ve been wanting to try a serum and am stuck between these two. i’d love to hear your opinion on it :)

    • Ruth Crilly says:

Yes, sorry I have just seen it! I might do a comparison at some point but they are very different types of serum so it’s hard to compare – the Kiehl’s feels more ‘nourishing’ and wholesome whereas the ANR feels more ‘scientific’… They both have a lovely rejuvenating effect but I think that it’s down to personal preference in a way… I’ll try and do a more detailed comparison when I have time! x
