Omorovicza Facial at Urban Retreat

Omorovicza are doing their amazing facials again at Urban Retreat in Harrods. I went for one the last time around and it was incredible. My face looked and felt as though it had been taken off, given a few weeks’ holiday and then moulded back on. (Sorry for that grotesque imagery – I’m writing this hungry, which always results in bizarre sentences!) The therapist did this amazing fluttery thing with her hands that started off as being quite uncomfortable but then felt really amazing – it has a facelift effect that’s actually quite remarkable! Besides this, there’s just absolutely top-notch deep cleansing and moisturising and extractions if you require them.

Facials start from £100 (it’s £110 for the Gold Firming Facial) and you get 75 minutes of extreme bliss as well as a product worth £50. So really, it’s fifty quid – for a full-on, total-luxury facial! Also, if you decide to buy anything, you’ll get another product for free, so it’s actually quite a good way to do things if you need to re-stock on Omorovicza! (May I sincerely recommend the Deep Cleansing Mask and the Queen of Hungary Mist? I swear by them!)

Facials are only running until the 31st of July, so get in there quick – you can call the Urban Retreat directly on 0207 893 8333.

  1. This sounds incredible + I always like it when a facial includes extractions!

  2. I’ve been seeing Vaishaly Patel for my facials for years, but this sounds amazing.

    Harrods, here I come…!

  3. aah, if only I were in the UK at the moment! I’ve been wanting to check out Omorovicza for a long time, and your post is probably making me do it finally. Do you by any chance know about the average shelf life of their products? I spend different months of the year in different climates and have different skin care regimes for different places, so I won’t be dropping that kind of money on something without a reasonable shelf-life.

    • @Liz my deep cleansing mask has lasted well over a year and hasn’t dried up yet! I’m not a big believer in shelf life, I have lipsticks that are nearly ten years old and still fine! xx

  4. Yes, you may sincerely recommend me anything.

  5. Well, I don’t really care about make up shelf life either, but cosmetics have active ingredients that decay after a while. How well they last depends on the ingredients and the kind of preservatives used.

I’ll e-mail Omorovicza directly, thanks for your reply Ruth!

    • @Liz – no, you’re quite right – some don’t contain parabens which makes it extremely important in that case, to stick to use-by dates. I was rather flippant yesterday, sorry! (Hangover!) With ‘normal’ products though (containing proper preservatives) they last an age. I have mascaras that are years old and still OK – they put in enough things to kill bacteria that would probably wipe out a small village! xx
