Clinique Black Honey Makeup Collection

Clinique Black HoneyI wasn’t entirely sure what I thought about the Clinique Black Honey collection at first; it all looked very red. I mean, there’s nothing that’s actually red, but the undertones all seemed to be much warmer than those that I’d usually pick out. I thought that the eye shades would make me look tired or upset so I was quite cautious about using them…but once I popped them on, I loved them. In fact, the eye quad (with its funky metal casing) is my favourite piece from the collection! That and the brush-on cream liner, which surprised me by being really simple and quick to use. I’m not convinced by the lip colour, but that’s because I’m blonde and it made me look like the Bride of Dracula. Take a look at the video and see what you think! Great video and love the eye shadows! Can I just ask whether you use a base/top coat with the San Tan-tonio polish? I have got it and absolutely love the colour but find I can’t get it to last longer than a day without starting to chip or peel – any tips would be gratefully received!
    Thank you!

    July beauty round up? :P
It’s a pitty I usually can’t year that makeup.. I’m brunette and the eye makeup, in my case, is what makes me look like Dracula’s bride.
Maybe I will take a look to the listick as light/coral colour are the ones I always avoid. That dark one sounds good, if it’s not too strong.

I love this collection. I love the lip colour too, yes I’m a blonde as well but I quite like the Bride of Dracule look. Black jeans, black top, rock girl hair and black honey lipstick and I’m good to go.

Well, Ruth, from what I feel I know by now about your makeup style, this is indeed a serendipitous departure and it looks just beautiful on you. I’ve heard such great things about the Black Honey Collection and this video does not disappoint … the price is right as well. Very flattering and now I am tempted seriously to purchase this.Thank you!! PS- This morning I tried to duplicate your Tom Ford/Laura Stone Fall Campaign look that I watched last night- I just adored it, by the way- did fairly well without the actual products. Beth in Pgh xo ;-)Many thanks again.

Woo! Perfect colours, except the lips. I just use the Rose Vaseline on my lips as I tend to avoid lipsticks :D

    Love being strawberry blonde ;)

Do you think these colours will suit medium-dark shade and how is the wear on the quad? Thanks
