Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky

Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky I have grown worryingly attached to my Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky in ‘Nude’. It’s really a very, very subtle palette of neutral tones – unlike the other shade combinations in the range, this one doesn’t create a smoky eye in the usual ‘defined’ or ‘feline’ sense, but makes the lids look a little sultry and bruised. Is bruised a good word? I mean it in the best possible sense. I have dug out a picture of me wearing it – I applied this particular look whilst on the M4! I took the lightest shade (matte) all over the lid up to the brow and then the darkest shade over the entire lid using the shimmery powder as a highlighter and on the centre of the lid. Bruised. But glamorously so.

Oh bugger! It seems that I have lost my photo, which means you’ll have to wait until my video next week! Sorry. Sad face.

Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky is £32 from Selfridges here

Hi Ruth! Love your blog/channel! Do you think the Smoky Nude palette would go well with a pale/cool complexion and green eyes? I’m trying to decide between it and the Smoky Brown.

@Mary yes, very much so. It would probably be a better fit if you’re very pale as the brown version could be quite dramatic!! xx

I know what you mean about bruised! Using neutral almost skin colours to define the eye can look a little bruised, but oh so sexy!
