Diamonds and Rubies Festive Makeup Tutorial!

Diamonds and Rubies Ha! I look a little bit like I’m sticking my middle finger up at you don’t I? Not intentional. That’s just my lip-gloss-patting pose!

A nice little makeup video to round off the pre-Christmas festivities. It makes a change from bloody gift guides and such! All of the products used are listed below the video pane – I love this black and red combo, it’s a bit of a classic. Perhaps you could say it’s slightly dated, but I’m a sucker for retro-esque makeup looks! You all have a nice relaxing video-watching session whilst I run around like a headless chicken with last-minute Christmas preparations! Don’t mind me…

Gorgeous makeup! I love Diamonds and Rubies idea! I am definitely going to use it for the New Year’s! I wore a sequined dress today too, lol! Merry Christmas, Ruth! May all your wishes come true!

Amazing look! Totally gonna try it for the New Years party – my only issue is with Chanel’s Illusion d’Ombre. I can never smoke it out quite right before it totally sets and I end up having to going over it with powder shadows :( You do it beautifully though!

    Hi Ruth,
I found your blog while google-ing for info on By Terry.
I am really interested in trying the Cover-Expert foundation. Do you know what shade I should get if I am light/medium, NC25 with yellow undertones (Asian)?

@Nicole hmm, hard to tell I’m afraid as I only have shade 9! I think best to try and test on counter! x

    Thank you!
Can I ask what shade you are in MAC? Maybe I can use that as a reference. Also, could you describe the undertone of shade 9? Would you say that it is suitable for Asian skin? (I am Asian, so quite yellow toned)

    Hi Ruth,

I stumbled across your blog about a month ago while looking for reviews on Alpha-H’s Liquid Gold. I’ve been addicted ever since – to your blog and to the LG haha! Anyway I wasn’t sure whether to post my question here or on your most recent post but hey-ho here it is: Can you rememeber the shade of Lancome L’Absolu Nu you’ve used in this video?

    Many thanks :)
