What’s in my Bathroom Drawer?

beauty blogger storage

OK, listen. I’ll admit right now that I thought this idea was a bit stupid; it’s kind of a YouTube obsession. People show viewers their ‘collections’ of makeup and how they store it. Personally, I cannot think of anything more boring than watching whole minutes of somebody open drawers in their bathroom cabinet, but there’s a huge demand. So here I am with a video of my bathroom drawer. Not the one with the dental floss and Tampax in it, but the one with the makeup.

This is my ‘last-minute panic’ drawer – if I’m late exiting the house, I’m guaranteed that there will be good, solid products in this drawer that I can rely on. Things that work, things that look great all day and a few things that have slipped in because I’m in the process of trying them out.

So, if you’re up for having a nosey about in my bathroom, then watch the video! If you just want to glance at a list, I’ve made one up below the video pane. You can click any of the links for more information and shade details!

    We take note that this is only 1 drawer in the bathroom. I’m sure there’s a whole room -stacked wall to wall and floor to ceiling- with products somewhere right?

    I really enjoyed watching this video!! You brought out my nosy side and I loved looking at your draw full of gorgeous make up (also your bathroom looks UR-MAY-ZING!!). I’m now tempted to buy lots of new and expensive make up, but alack! My bank balance won’t allow it! :D xx

    Interesting. I thought it would be nothing but high end product. See, never judge a model without checking her drawers.

    You use two products I rely on (only two mind. more than two are on my wishful thinking list); No7 tinted moisturizer. Great for days when I just can’t face foundation. And Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara. I had a WTH experience with some false lashes a while back and this product, along with nightly applications of rosehip oil, got my eye batters back in shape.

    So pleased to have found your blog courtesy of the lovely Jane at British Beauty Blogger.

      @Ali so pleased to meet you! I absolutely adore the No7 – one of my top budget beauty buys! Though it’s not SO budget if you don’t have “the voucher”..

  11. February 18, 2012 / 12:04 am

    I’ve actually often wondered where you keep all your piles and piles of makeup and beauty products since, unlike me, you have lots and lots of versions of products that all do a similar thing. I feel overwhelmed enough by all the beauty products I have but I only have one concealer, three cleansers (which I feel is a bit excessive), two facial moisturisers, 2 eyeshadow palettes and a few singles and duos you get my gist, I try not to buy beauty products if I already have something similar or I’ll get stressed about the clutter. You must be going MAAAAAAD.

    Having said that, your makeup station is soooo much less cluttered than mine. Really Ruth, how do you do it?

      @Sundal it’s all over the rest of the house – only this drawer is neat! xx

    @Ruth, what is the No7 voucher? x

      @Jenny on a regular basis, Boots do a £5 vouvher to be used on No7 and Ruby and Millie. Keep a look out for it – they do them once every month or two months! xx

    One of favorite videos and posts, I find myself going back to it for a bit of info when needing to order a new product, etc. I’m amazed at how often I find myself here. Thanks, Ruth!
