Quick Springtime Makeup – The Silent Movie

ruth crilly fashion model

I made this video last week and thought you might like it. I just filmed myself silently doing my makeup ready for a different video (the Best of Spring Makeup video) and then decided that I quite liked the way it looked. I was going to keep it silent and just add subtitles, but then I got bored and thought that it would be easier just to do a voiceover.

So here I am, chit-chatting away through a few minutes of therapeutic makeup application. If you’re having trouble sleeping, get a load of this! Cup of tea at the ready? Sitting comfortably? Let’s go!

    Hey ruth

I need a new lengthening mascara in your opinion should I go for the d.j.v. beautenizer or the Eyeko skinny?

    Thanks
    elly xx

@Elly both lovely. DJV more volumising, easier to get off. Eyeko is a more beautiful, separated effect. x

I really like the way you are doing your make-up, its seems to be easy and quick-with a great result, I wish to be able to do that in the same way… Oh and the voice over is so much fun, really enjoyed watching the video!

Not boring at all,it was lovely and funny and informative! Fabulous look too… I thought I was over blue eyeshadows, but that palette is quite grand on your skin.

This is a beautiful make up look and the colors look gorgeous on you! I hope its not too much to ask but could you recommend some skin care products for my very dry + flakey skin? Im looking for a very good exfoliater (but gentle) and a moisturizer. I appreciate any help you can give me! :)

    Hi Ruth,

I’ve been following you on youtube and reading your website for a while now, but this is the first time I am actually writing to you. I was wondering if you could recommend some budget eye creams. I am 23 now and maybe it’s just me but I start seeing some wrinkles around my eyes, or fine lines or whatever they call it which I am pretty sure weren’t there before. So, any suggestions?

    Have a good day!
