Etat Pur Giveaway – Five Free Skincare Sets! CLOSED

**UPDATE! And the winners are: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] Well done! If one of the winners is YOU and you haven’t received an email, please let me know. I do tend to mis-spell email addresses and get my hyphens and underscores confused!**

If you didn’t read my post on Etat Pur on Saturday, then you can do so here: Etat Pur Skincare Solutions. Those who read it will know that I raved a little bit about the innovative way in which Etat Pur sell skincare products – online, at affordable prices, using brilliant research and development resources.

Do you want a piece of this pie? What’s pie in French? Tarte?

Whatever. If you’d like to win one of FIVE skincare sets (customised to fit your very own prescription!) then here’s how you enter.

1) As with all giveaways now, you must be signed up to AMR: Exclusive. Why you wouldn’t want to be is beyond me (haha!) because you get an amazing quarterly newsletter with secret stuff in it, but anyway. Sign up here!

2) You need to do your Etat Pur questionnaire and leave me a comment below telling me ONE of the products that appears on your prescription. If you win, you’ll get a whole set, but for now, just tell me one thing. It can be the product that most catches your eye, or the one that sounds the least appealing, or just a random one. Whichever you like! You can get your prescription in under a minute (if you know your stuff!) and the link to the Etat Pur homepage is here: ETAT PUR

3) Make sure that you leave me an email address where prompted in the comment form – no email, no prizey!

4) Get your entries in before 12pm (that’s noon, or midday depending on whether you speak like someone from a history book or not) on FRIDAY 11th MAY, 2012.

This is open to all members of AMR: Exclusive, wherever you are in the world.

Happy skin analysing!

The Ectoin looks amazing to me. I am really starting to notice the first signs of sun damage, as I’m allergic to most products that contain and SPF. This looks like a great solution as it’s not full of synthetic nasties :)

    LW Hyaluronic Acid pure Active

Wow! I see what you mean about the prices. Have bookemarked site and will definitely try at least this product. I like all the product info they give as well. ie for this one they tell you not to bother with putting a moisturiser on after. I never know whether to or not with some serums

thanks for all the lovely reviews and tips etc, love your emails in the morning :-)

I believe I’m the first to comment (yay!) if not then d’oh! :p I was recommended zinc gluconate, don’t exactly know what zinc gluconate is but I’m guessing it’ll do wonders for my skin ( : x x

Another fantastic giveaway Ruth. Q10 was part of my prescription.

  37. Emma
    May 7, 2012 / 8:15 am

Ah, this is so good! After your review I went onto Etat Pur and bought a few bits and pieces and have been telling all of my friends about it. My skin is appalling at the moment because of spending my life in the library with finals, but as a student, some of the stuff recommended is just out of my price range. Etat Pur’s prices are brilliant though, I can’t wait to start using it!

Well, anyhow, I bought a zinc formula and the facemask. One thing that was recommended by their skin test and which I really regret not buying was the salycilic acid, as my spots are awful at the moment (living off library vending machines isn’t helpful…)

    Cool giveaway!

These products look fab. My prescription recommended, amongst other products, the LW Hyaluronic acid for my age-related fine lines – would love to try this. The concept of this website is fab – I love the idea of having a personalised prescription – saves having to trawl through hundreds of products to find the one that’s right for you. xxx

Hello Ruth! I suffer from under-eye circles and one of the products I’ve been prescribed in Etat Pur is actually to tackle and reduce the signs of fatigue and smoothe out the eye contour. It’s called “Apigenin” and it apparently contains grapefruit! Sounds good and I am always keen on trying new products.

    Thanks for creating this giveaway.
    Sandra x

P.S. If it’s a savoury pie, the French call it “tourte” but if you have a sweet tooth it’s actually “tarte” :-D

I just filled out the questionnaire and there were a lot of great products that were recommended. But my favorite one is the Salicylic Acid 70 pure Active. I love the feeling and the rests of gentle chemical exfoliation. The results are great it fights against my main skin problem blackheads.

I would love to try out this new skincare line.

    Thank you sooo much :)

Argan Pure Active AO2 is one of the products on my list. The one thing that puzzles me here is the size of this product: it comes in a 15 ml bottle and they recommend you to buy 2 bottles. (“To ensure you have enough of the product to complete the treatment, we recommend buying 2 bottles of Argan pure Active”). Why is that? Why not to make a 30 ml bottle? Anyway would be fun to try it:)

Hi, Ruth! Love, love, love your blog and your recommendations. So I thought I’d try out for your giveaway.

One of the Etat Pur prescription rec’s I received was the Propolis (35mg) A23. Anything that can help with calming my skin (blemishes & dullness) sounds ideal. PLUS antioxidants? With all the smoggy LA air, I’m sold.

Thanks for doing this giveaway (and introducing what sounds like a top-notch line)!

I was recommended Ectoin [420 mg] for skin that has high exposure to the sun. I moved to Asia two years ago and I’ve noticed that I get pigment spots now and then from just being outside. I tan quite naturally and quickly, but I guess my skin is not accustomed to the stronger Asian sun exposure.

  64. Kirstie
    May 7, 2012 / 9:09 am

I was surprised to see that ETAT PUR prescribed the salicylic acid as I have quite sensitive skin, but would be intrigued to see if this gets rid of the imperfections I have on my chin. I recently had radiotherapy and found that this really dried out my skin -so I cannot strip it with exfoliator as I usually would without getting ‘scales’! But I love the sound of the melting exfoliator as it appears to be revitalising and replenishing. I also love Argan oil on my hair and notice that this is prescribed for my skin! All in all I am excited by your review and the content of the prescription! It would be fab to get to try the full set out!

Ruth I already posted a comment but something messed up with my internet connection, so I don’t know if my comment posted. I will write it again:

  66. May 7, 2012 / 9:11 am

This is a great giveaway – I’ve been thinking about trying Etat Pur for ages! For my oily, acne-prone (teenage!) skin, they recommended the Citric Acid active (3000mg) to brighten and exfoliate my overall complexion!

One of the products that appear on my prescription is the salicylic acid for getting rid of blackheads. Honestly I feel I’ve tried everything and I’m now obsessing over this in case it would work! My skin reacted badly to a new primer recently and caused a lot of embaressment so a product like this seems wild!

Hi there, I was just on the site which is great if you can’t go to the store. One of the products which appears for me is Resveratrol A5 for wrinkles. It the same active than in Caudalie because it’s vine extract. Now, I MUST to have it because it seems so desirable to me.I spend the week-end in the french country side but now I can’t imagine not trying A5 before the end of the week!See you soon. Have a great day.

Apigenin [25 mg] – the only one which I don’t know how to pronounce.

I’ve had stuff sitting in my basket since you posted about etat pur but felt to guilty about buying as I’m a student (for one more week!!! yiy) without a job tagged to the end of it so need to save as much as I can so I don’t go broke… which I nearly am… Would be nice to win =)

I have been struggling with redness for a very long time and it’s been hard to find products that do a good job and are also suitable for my combination skin. One of their questionnaire results was Rutin, which I’d love to have the opportunity to try! However, it comes only in 15 ml tubes (tiny!) and they recommend using it over the entire face for two months…

I am almost always shiny, and adding more foundation powder to my face just makes me look.. well, powdery. As a broke university student I’m hesitant to spend megapounds on product that look amazing but *might* not work for me, so I’d love to try the Balancing Matifying Care cream/powder!

The Q10 was one of the items in my prescription box. Only 20 but I am seeing some fine lines around the mouth area. That’s probably due to applying the salicyclic acid on that area when it’s that time of the mouth, it’s drying that area out. Catch 22, deal with the pimples on the side of the mouth or treat it and deal with fine lines.

Hopefully if I get chosen, the Q10 will do alleviate this problem.

I’ve never used a BHA exfoliant before and I’ve heard great things about it in terms of clearing out pores and reducing blackheads! I’ve got terrible large pores on my nose and I’d really like to them go down in size!

    Thanks for this, Ruth :)

One of my prescribed products was Zinc Gluconate – I’ve been having some breakouts which is a bit upsetting as I had really good skin for most of my teens/early 20s so getting breakouts now has knocked my confidence – would love to try this and see if it can help improve my skin issues :)

The most interesting item I found in my test results was “Oat (2mg)”. Although I’m not entirely sure whether it’s supposed to be used as a moisturizer, serum or anything else it says it helps with red, sensitive skin and sounds quite about right for me :D

  109. May 7, 2012 / 10:34 am

Hi Ruth! Loved the post on the Etat Pur skin care range! I went along to the website and one of the products recommended to me was the 300 Salicylic acid for blemish treatment. Their range makes sense, and I love the idea of the A treatments and B! Of course, I am signed up for AMR exclusive and I receive daily emails with your updates (which I love!) Thanks for the giveaway!

One of the products that I had been recommended is something called… Propolis 35mg. It’s supposedly for acne-prone, dull skin which is something I have been cursed it unfortunately… In the site, Propolis has antibacterial, regenerating and antioxidant properties. Ooh, sounds promising eh?
Anyways, cross my fingers to get picked Ruth!

In my Etat Pur suggestions was Apigenin. I am a little bit addicted to skin care and if there’s one thing I seem to love the most it’s eye products. Not only does this fit the bill – it’s GRAPEFRUIT. I’m a sucker for the smell, so fresh and clean and yummy :) and hopefully will work on my always tired eyes!

    May 7, 2012 / 10:46 am

    hello!
I have relatively ok skin- but I do suffer from congestion around my nose and chin- and if i don’t act on it then it gets really bad. Im also quite a bad at keeping up with a complex skin care routine- im often working late and up early so i prefer something quick, easy yet effective- so I have no excuse to not do it! Saying that I am a believer in good products and hate using wipes to clean my face. For me the product that stood out as a good everyday solution for my skin is the detoxifying cleansing foam- I like the fact it’s a foaming cleanser as i find them quick and the least hassle of face cleansers, yet rich means that it won’t dry my cheek areas yet detoxifying which I think would be good formmy black head areas. And i need to feel refreshed in the mornings!
    That’s it i think
    Thanks!
    Hanna x

The product that catches my eye in the Etat Pur prescription I received was the Light moisturizing emulsion, because the description of the product being light as air, yet with immediate moisturisation sounds like the perfect remedy for my combination skin!

Salic Acid – never used this before so it would be very interesting to see how it works for my blocked enlarged pores.

  129. Jean
    May 7, 2012 / 11:11 am

I have oily, sensitive skin. So, it was exciting to see specific products targeted for that very reason. The one that caught my eye was Propolis (pure active-A23). I always love products derived from nature and actually did a little research in the past about the benefits of honey and propolis. Propolis seemed perfect for my skin type because it eliminates the bacterial origins that start blemishes while having a soothing, restorative effect also, good for sensitive skin! I wish there were more products like this where I’m from! sigh.

  130. David Cropper
    May 7, 2012 / 11:15 am

Upon completing the analysis, I was chosen the Apigenin eye cream as one of the products. I’m fascinated by what these products could do for us as you made me so excited for them! While it seems they might have diagnosed me as more oily, they have two different products for certain things for targeting different parts of my combination skin! Something so obvious never would have truly occured to me to try! Thank you for introducing me to the brand and to the many brands I never would have known of without you! I look forward to your quarterly newsletter regardless!

Upon completing the analysis, I was chosen the Apigenin eye cream as one of the products in prescription. I look forward to the chance of trying this as I have never heard of Apigenin, and I would love to see if it has an affect on my CHRONIC dark circles. While post-acne hyperpigmentation and ocasional spots are fading from my problems, my dark circles only ever hardly dissipate. Thank you for introducing me to this brand and to the many brands I never would have known of without you! I look forward to your quarterly newsletter regardless!

Etat Pur giveaway? Oui! Oui! For my oily troubled Asian skin, the Detoxifying Cleansing Foam sounds great. I don’t know if it’s just me but hearing the word “detox” makes me feel better. Hi Ruth-great giveaway, I really enjoyed reading about ETAT in your previous posts-seems to have the active ingredients of French skincare in an affordable way, that’s what I’m about! I have really problem skin, combination, very fair, acne prone, milia etc, would love to try this range. The item that most appeals to me from my ‘prescription’ is the ‘radiant complexion care’ as I am always chasing the illusive happy, healthy skin look but have not yet achieved it.

Thanks for the generous give away Ruth, I like others, love reading your blog and tweets.

    May 7, 2012 / 12:39 pm

I’ve been on their site few times.. as I’m so boring, and a total skincare junkie.. Acmella caught my attention from my perscribed skin products.. why because apparently Acmella flowers have a “botox-like” effect. They contain myorelaxant molecules that act directly on the face’s micro-contractions to smooth out the skin and quickly restore a smoother appearance. Well who couldn’t be hooked with claims like that.. better than ironing my skin any day!!

The Oil Free Quenching liquid was on my list along with many other items. The line looks great and the first thing I wondered was how the micellar cleansing water of Etat compares to Bioderma Crealine H2O. Could it possibly be the same formula, I wonder? I just ordered another 500ml of Bioderma from Amazon, I love it so much. Thanks for hosting the giveaway. Love your site!

Hey,Ruth:)I’m from Malaysia and I’m absolutely obsess with AMR!
I’ve done the Etat Pur questionnaire.I cited “First Wrinkles”, “Dark Circles” and “Pollution:Skin fragility due to pollution” as my primary concerns.A08 Argan and A08 Apigenin were suggested on the prescription. But what catches my eye really is B01 Micellar Cleasing Water because I’ve never use cleasing water before and I’ve been using very strong skincare products(which aggravates my skin)and would very like to try something mild for a change.
    So,I hope I can win!
    AMR Rocks!!!

    Hey,

    My thoughts:
Zinc Gluconate looks quiet good as it says it’ll keep the sebum secretion under control and Mimosa tenuiflora [75 mg]is probably my least favourite as it says it’s for mature line and i’ll probably scared to use this as i am only 22 because its a concentrated serum.. I got this result from selecting scars left over from spots.

    Regards, :)

The ONE product that caught my eye was the “Express purifying mask”.
It may not be a super innovative new mask but in the description it says that “the mask leaves the skin clean, smooth and velvety” and that sounds very promising and good so I would try this one out first, because a good and low priced mask is hard to come by.
Unfortunately it looks like Etat Pur doesn’t deliver to Germany. So I will hope and see!

Hey Ruth. I’m a 20 year old student, just about to finish my first year. For past few months my skin has been very dry and dull, I’m guessing it might be from stress and lack of sleep. I have looked at your Etat Pur review and I was very impressed with the variation of products and the price! I was considering ordering few things, but then I thought I might try my luck in your giveaway. I carefully filled in the questionnaire and come up with the result for Citric Acid- AHA (3000 mg). I have heard that it does wonders to the skin, and heals acne scars, which I’m suffering from too.

    May 7, 2012 / 2:22 pm

Hi Ruth, I like the look of the Zinc gluconate pure active product as I love the idea of really targeting those dodgy shiny areas (nose!) that just won’t behave with a few drops of dedicated product, rather than my usual clumsy attempt which always results in too much squeezed out of the tube (or whatever) and wasted whilst the nose stays resolutely shiny (sigh). Also it looks compact enough to carry about and top up if need be. All helpful in conquering the shine… X

Hi! Fantastic giveaway!! One of the products that appear on my prescription is Zinc Gluconate. Would be happy to try it ;)

  200. May 7, 2012 / 2:43 pm

I made the questionnaire and I found this absolutely perfect product for me, the Salicylic Acid 70 [70 mg]. It says this would not only treat blemishes and blackheads when they have already appeared, but also purify and exfoliate my skin and regulate the pH on the surface of my skin to keep it mositurized. Gosh, it’s simply perfect! I would love to be the winner of one of the packs, it would be sooo nice to have this at home and get rid of my skin problems…
Well, wish me luck (I’ll wish luck to myself, anyway hehe)
    Love! Leire

  201. May 7, 2012 / 2:47 pm

Wow, what an amazing giveaway! I got the Salicylic Acid 70 in my product recommendations and it sounds a lot more concentrated than other drugstore brands! All their products seem so reasonable too, I may have to switch up some of my other products to make room for these in my routine now!

    hi there
One of the products I was recommended was Argan.
This is very appealing as it treats 1st signs of wrinkles.

I was also interested in the ‘Melting exfoliating gel’ as I use a similar one from a brand called Gatineau.

The least appealing to me was the Salicylic acid which aims to treats blackheads. But I wouldn’t want to use something so harsh on the skin as it can cause dryness and therefore encourages fine lines

Hi Ruth, this range looks very good, it seems to contain quality ingredients but it is very reasonably priced. My only negative is that it only lets you pick four skin concerns (I have several more) and it recommends alot of products. I counted 12 in total. One I would definately be interested in purchasing is the Glabridin for hyperpigmentation.

The very first one that popped up for me, Apigenin, is what I’d pick. It says it helps dark circles and anything that says that I will buy in a heartbeat. I’m very self conscious about my dark circles.

    May 8, 2012 / 3:41 am

This past months I have been having a terrible time with break outs and with dull-looking skin. Morning and night I do my cleaning routine but not seems to be working! Along with a frustrating-no results-routine I have been looking around for make-up to give off the impression of dewy skin and clear skin…but no luck! My birthday is at the end of this month, which means I could be in luck…I could have the chance to go out looking amazing! I think after taking the test (choosing 3 seems so unfair) I think I like “Propolis pure Active” because it helps with break outs and with dull-looking skin…not to mention its made by bees!

  353. Tia Linfoot
    May 8, 2012 / 6:51 am

    Hi Ruth,

  361. FR
    May 8, 2012 / 8:38 am

    Hi Ruth
This was very interesting indeed. I’m also impressed by the ingredients breakdown as they appear to have thrown out all the rubbish that’s usually the staple in so many skin care products! When I went through it the ones that stood out for me were the salicylic acid and propolis (not to mention that propolis sounds ancient and full of skin goodness).

Also, how do you keep your skin clear after you’ve been to the gym? Every time I go I breakout in spots the next day or day after. Its getting me down Ruth. Advice please!!!

    THANK YOU!!!

    • Ruth

I have been recommended the Citric Acid – AHA [3000 mg] to lift a dull complextion. I like the sound of it as I am really into exfoliators that don’t use little bits which scratch my skin, so this treatment with Citric Acid sounds right up my street!

I’ve actually got oily, blemish-prone skin, but what caught my eye was the ellagic acid! If it can repair a smoker’s skin I wonder what it could do for a nonsmoker? I love that they name their products by their main ingredient, so even if you don’t choose to use their line, you’ll know what ingredients to look for when searching for other helpful products! Anyway, thank you! :)

Love the look of this brand! I was recommended lots of products but the one that jumped out was ‘Acmella’ – perhaps because in my bleary eyed state I originally read it as my daughter’s name!

Express Purifying Mask. I get really dry skin just after washing my face, however which ever foundation I use in the day my skin then goes really oily! But I swear the oil in my face doesn’t go with my skin, it doesn’t moisturise it’s self at all, it’s a bloody nightmare! I am hoping this product will help balance out my skin a bit, love to you and Mr Bear! x

Hey Ruth! I have, I fear, been lured in by the Bioderma connection and indeed the mere mention of a French pharmacy brand (despite being half French and therefore not remotely enchanted by ‘things francais’!)

The product that stuck in my mind for some probably tedious* reason was the micellar cleansing water.

*I can’t help it… the notion of a substance that looks, feels and smells exactly like water having magic makeup-annihilating properties is way more exciting and fascinating to me than it should be.
