Wet and Windy Weekend Vlog!

Posted · 8 Comments

It was very wet and windy in Cornwall on Saturday and so I recorded a little “outfit of the day” video. Mostly because I was trying to prolong the amount of time I could spend indoors – it was blowing an absolute gale outside!

More outfit details can be found in the info below the video pane, but just a note on the makeup – this is JUST some base, the Dior Nude Tan bronzer and a lick of mascara! What a Dream Team. You can read more about the Dior bronzer here, or there’s a stockist link at the bottom of the page if you can’t wait a moment longer!

I was in Cornwall with Mr AMR for a friend’s surprise 40th birthday party. We stayed at the Beach at Bude, a lovely hotel that’s right on the beach. In Bude. Funny that. Compared to some of the (typically British) shambledown B&Bs, the Beach at Bude is really quite smart and stylish. I can imagine that in the height of summer, it’s the place to stay – we had a large seaview room with a terrace that overlooked the beach. £140 per night. One worth considering!

I bought the French Connection sweater in the sales last week – http://tidd.ly/fed9c0c9
Jeans are Sass & Bide (old), Parka is Marc Jacobs (2010), boots are Timbaland Earthkeepers.

Foundation is Cover Expert (By Terry) shade 9: http://goo.gl/xNdhY

Just had a look at the hotel’s site. Definitely not your grubby 60s B&B. What’s that lip colour you have on? Or are you wearing any?

  4. I love you outfit, Ruth!! So simple and cozy yet chic. I really need to look for those Timbaland boots or something similar because I love them! And that sweater too

Ah! The British tourist business people should hire me to visit England. I’ve been there I don’t know how many times (at least 10?) and I’ve seen rain on only 2 days in all! I think it’s PR that you have so much rain (and cold?) in order to make the rest of us not envy you Brits so much! ;)
