June Monthly Beauty Favourites!

You’re well overdue one of these Monthly Favourites videos! I can’t even remember when the last one was! The rather fetching sunglasses in the photograph above are from Bourjois – they have a 3-for-2 promotion running and you get a free pair of shades! Anyway, watch the video and the mad blonde lady will tell you all about it.

All further info, stockist links and outfit details are below the video pane! Oh, and because loads of people asked on Youtube, I can tell you that the base I’m wearing is an old fave – MyFace MyMix in shade Light 3. Find it at larger Boots stores. I have a HORRID feeling that something’s “going down” with MyFace, as there are hardly any products online now… I hope not, the foundation is excellent!

  1. seriously can’t get enough of that nail polish remover, usually so lazy about removing nail polish so i dont usually do it.

  2. Hi, I would love to try the daniel sandler radiance foundation but not sure what shade to use, beige or honey? have you tried it and what shade were you. (I am same shade as you in by terry and chanel)

  3. Ruth, which shade do you use for the By Terry concealer in the video? thanks! I love your makeup in the video….the eye shadow is gorgeous. : )

  4. I needed a new mascara and was inspired to try the L’Oreal Telescopic one – so glad I did – I absolutely love it. Thanks so much for this recommendation; it’s like having your own personal make up adviser! (Thanks to you I’m also a devotee of Liquid Gold and By Terry Foundation).

  5. Reviews like this makes me wish i own a credit card so i can buy online!

  6. Hi Ruth!!
love the post (as usual) and wanted to share a promo code I’m sure you’ll love: 20% off on Omorovicza thermal clenser on the Omorovicza website (http://tinyurl.com/7rkkwtn) with code BESTCLEANSER. YAY!

  7. Love the products of Laura Mercier to conceal dark circles, spots & bad skin & like Bourjois fun color palette.

  8. Thanks for the info. It makes a big difference when you see the products being used.

    Nicole.

  9. I have to tell you that the Boots here have gotten rid of MyFace cosmetics and it’s now Essie nail polishes on that stand :(

Thanks for sharing, I went straight into boots after reading this, I don’t use bourjois products but what a great offer – the shades are cheap but better looking than most freebies you get! I then hunted up and down oxford street for the japonesque safari brushes and Myface Mymix and couldn’t find either anywhere?!
    Humph :( x

  11. Hi ruth,
you look beautiful and sun kissed in this video!
I just wondered would you say the concealers are good to cover bad skin or just really for the under eye areas? Obviously you may not know as your skin isn’t bad!

    thanks x

  12. Hi…do you think the Estee Lauder palette would suit cool-toned, pale complexions? Also…I can’t seem to find it anywhere online, do you know if you can you get it at Estee Lauder counters?
    Thanks :)

    • Yes, at counters. I would say it’s pretty universal, but you might find something that suits you better once you have a play around on counter! Have a look at some of their other palette combos and see what you think – have a play! x

  13. Great tip on the Bourjois 3 for 2 with free shades!
I got mine the other day, such a bargain.
I opted for the blush pot too.
All of your products look great :) x

  14. these almost resemble my favorites too. I love telescopic mascara and bourjois stuff that you mentioned =)

  15. Hi…the Estée Lauder palette looks lovely – would it suit cool-toned, pale complexions? Also, can you only get it in store? I can’t find it anywhere online…
    Thanks :)

  16. Hi :) I was wondering if you could offer a bit of advice. I have terrible dark circles and I need to use a heavy duty concealer to cover them up (e.g. benefit erase paste) the only issue is, if i use any sort of eyeliner it runs down my face at a scary rate. Do you have any suggestions for under eye setting powders?

    Thanks :) x

    • You can use any powder…but I find that sometimes with the ERase Paste too. It doesn’t really set firm. Have you tried Estee Lauder Double Wear? Have a look at my review on here! xx

  17. I still need to try something from Daniel Sandler–I always hear great things about the brand on blogs and youtube!

    • I can recommend the Daniel Sandler invisible Radiance Foundation it’s superb, love the fact it has the matching concealer in the lid too, :-)

  18. Hi Ruth, there must be something going on with MyFace as a couple of months ago in my local Boots store they had 75% off all MyFace plus 3 for 2 offer!! I have got foundation, blusher and concealer for about £6! What a bargain. Should stock up just in case xx

  19. The new setting is wonderful, Ruth. I love all the textures! I’m also sooo looking forward to the newsletter. This favourites feature is one I absolutely love. Thanks!
