Sunday Tittle Tattle (noun?): everything from the week that I have forgotten to post about, in easy brunch-sized chunks…

1) After I finished making my Fragrance Collection video last week, Mr Bear came padding on into the bathroom expecting a cuddle and I picked him up when the camera was still running. I grabbed this screenshot from my video editor because I thought it was so funny – I’ve never seen Mr Bear look more unimpressed! I also can’t believe what a fatty he looks on camera – when he’s ambling about I always think he looks so small! I think it’s when his head is all squished, it gives him jowls. Mind you, he does weigh 4.5kg now and he’s only seven months old…or is it eight?

2) Luxury beauty brand Omorovicza are running an offer on their website until the end of the month – spend over £100 and receive a free Deep Cleansing Mask worth £57. Just in case you’re feeling flush.. You can read all of my raving about the Deep Cleansing Mask in these posts, and the website is here: Omorovicza

3) Something that I have rediscovered: l’Occitane’s Amande Pomme Toning Cider. It’s absolutely brilliant on murky, temperamental, oily-crap skin. (You know where I’m coming from.) If you’re in one of those lunar phases where your skin just never feels clean or clear then a swipe of this is utter joy. Do you know what’s not utter joy? They fact that they discontinued it! I have one bottle left and it’s being kept in the dark, cool space in the back of my wardrobe. I am paying better attention to it than my most expensive fragrances. Bring this back, l’Occitane! The whole Amande Pomme range had such cute packaging too. L’Occitane also kept the Calanques range as a limited edition, which I am still sore about – it was one of their best fragrances ever!

4) Finally, if you’re into making homemade ice cream, you have to get this book from The Icecreamists – there was a press launch in their little Covent Garden parlour-with-a-difference last week. Unfortunately I couldn’t make the event, but the book was sent on to me and it’s fantastic. I have a new Cuisinart Ice Cream Pro to try out and so I’ll definitely be making some of the recipes! I’ve already made frozen raspberry yoghurt in my machine and the most decadent chocolate ice cream in the world…

  2. Cat says:

Mr. Bear looks so big now! I swear, the last time you posted a photo he was just a little kitten. How adorable and fluffy-faced!

  3. An ice cream machine?!? Oh goodness, keep that away from me. I would make ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! :P Still, that’d be so amazing to be able to whip up your own little creations…thyme&lime sorbet perhaps? Or fresh mint and chocolate ice cream…yum. OMG I want one now!

  4. Gina says:

I love Mr. Bear!! Yes, he looks fatty on photos but he’s SO adorable! :) (My mom used to be a big fan from l’Occitane’s “amande pomme face cream” and the smell was absolutely delicious…)

ohhh I’ve been meaning to buy the Omorovicza deep cleansing mask since you blogged about it so will def be snapping up this offer on payday :) what other products would you suggest from them for oily, breakout prone skin? I know you love their concealer but I’m loving the Glominerals concealer (also on your recommendation!)
    Thanks!!!

    • Ruth says:

Which is the Glominerals? Why dont I know?! Am I having memory fail? xx

      • jenna says:

my bad, i just realised i read about that concealer on a different blog not here sorry!!! but which skin products would you recommend I spend my £100 on? I was going to just chose a cleanser (cause you can never have too many of them) and then buy a mask as well as the one I will get free…if it gets top marks from you then maybe i should stock up with two pots hehe!?

        • Ruth says:

I have lost our thread – is this Omorovicza we are talking? xx

          • jenna says:

yes sorry…i’m gonna take advantage of the free mask when you spend over £100 and just wondering what you would suggest i buy to spend the £100…the thermal cleansing balm, the copper peel and the balancing moisturiser all apeal to my oily, breakout prone skin…have you tried any of these??
            thanks a million!!

          • Ruth says:

Yes, all excellent! The Queen of H mist also very lovely, a staple! X

  6. Mel says:

Mr Bear is well loved, and looked after by you.. which is how it should be, he’s a happy cat. I’ve just lost my puppy, he was 9 months old, he’d gone in for a routine op, to be neutered. He had an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic, which killed him. I’m devastated, and the place seems empty without him. I know you, you know how this feels Ruth, from your first lovely little kitten. I just want to say.. cherish, and love them all you can, as you never know how long you have them for xxx

  7. Lily says:

Mr Bear is so cute! I love the Armande Pomme range. the packaging is great and anything apple-related is a winner for me. x

  8. Upa says:

Omorovicza, here I come! Thanks for the heads up!

  9. Emma Jane says:

Hi Ruth. Keep your Amande Pomme Toning Cider in the fridge if you don’t want it to go off while you’re eking out your last bottle. Also it will feel lovely on your skin when you use it & tell Mr. Bear not to feel to self concious about his chub, remember the camera adds ten pounds! x
