Last week I undertook Mama Mio’s “Skin Fit” Test which asks a series of questions about your skin, your body, your likes and dislikes. As you probably know by now, I love filling in forms and answering questions, so I was in my element! I was also forced to take stock of my overall skin condition (actually rather good, I have to say, apart from the little scaly patches I always get on my shins) and take a long hard look at my cellulite situation. I’m going to be very honest here and tell you that my skin-brushing routine has lapsed lately and BOY do my thighs reflect that! This is going to be a case of do what I say, not what I do, but if there’s one thing that will truly, truly make a massive difference to your skin tone on thighs and bum then it’s skin brushing. See my post and video on it here.

After filling in my test form, I waited 24 hours and then received a personalised report which was quite lengthy and detailed. I had to concentrate on the skin around my tummy and thighs (correct) and keep the rest of my skin in tip-top condition (makes sense). So now, mere days before my holidays start, I am frantically applying Skin Tight Toning Serum, Shrink To Fit Hip & Thigh Cream and O-Mega Body Buff. I wrote those in the wrong order, because obviously I use the Body-Buff scrub first, but anyway. So far so good. I love the Toning Serum (more details here) – it’s just a very lightweight fluid that tones and tightens the skin as it intensely moisturises. The jury’s still out on the Shrink to Fit, (more info here), but so far it gets top marks for texture and ease-of-use.

**Incidentally, the three products that were suggested to me are also available as a set, the Bootcamp Butts. It’s a saving of £26 and you get a 4-minute workout plan to do daily. It gets great reviews – I’ll keep you updated! FeelUnique.com**

I have used the BOOTCAMP for BOOBS – and its great. I have small boobs but it was mre tha skin on my neck and chest that I was worried about (just hit 40) the skin here was in great condition after using for only a few weeks – less lines, more toned and plumped – love their products x

What a fun site! Can’t wait to get my analysis in my inbox. I have found two great products from Clarins that I accidentally stumbled on. They are the Toning Body Balm and the oil that goes with it. I am obsessive with skin and body care and these two are worth a try. I believe they are used for pregnancy skin, but are great on the body for anyone really.

Done the test and I’m reading the response right now, quite like it even if the 1st tip was about aging with confidence which is cool but I’m 17, I don’t have aging issues (at least beauty talking)

Body brushing!! I swear it’s true!! Since the day you published the video and I got my Liz Earle’s brush, cellulite was killed. I achieved results after 4 months of daily body brushing, all my cellulite has gone! Now I follow with this daily routine cause I don’t want cellulite to come back :D Thank you again, it was the best beauty tip anyone has given to me ever! I’ve tried to convert my mom and friends to the body brushing religion but they are too lazy… THANKS! :)

Hi Ruth – I also completed the ‘Skin Fit’ test last week! My personalised report recommended that I concentrate on my tummy. So I too have purchased the Skin Tight Toning Serum …. which I looooove and also Get Waisted Body Shaper. Together with the 4 minutes of exercise each day, I am starting to notice a slight difference, I am also noticing that my posture is improving (not something that you will have a problem with, I’m sure!). I agree with you, it gets top marks for texture and ease-of-use.

I’m going to watch your video on skin brushing now.

    Have a good day :)

  8. I have been meaning to get a skin brush for FOREVER now–since you mentioned that you did it daily. I always forget! I think I need to set an alarm in my phone or something…
