The Perfect Look Skin Miracle

Wow. I really do get an “E” for effort with today’s photography don’t I? Look at the state of my desk behind! Sometimes I don’t know how I manage to get any actual work done – I spend quite a lot of my time moving things about so that I can actually fit the mouse mat on the desk! Anyway, it’s quite telling that the Perfect Look Skin Miracle is right in front of me on my desk, because that tends to be the place where my most-used products go. Within easy reach, within my immediate grasp, ready to be played with and tested and written about.

This isn’t a BB Cream and it’s not really a tinted moisturiser, either, though it is tinted and it is a moisturiser. It doesn’t have any skills in the coverage department, but what it does have is a healthy, bronzed sheen without being greasy or sticky or stodgy. It’s beautiful. You could use it beneath a foundation, but I almost think that it would be a shame to cover it up. I have been using it on my no makeup days, on good-skin days, on days when I just want to look alive and well but not glam or “done”. For anyone with good skin, who likes to wear minimal makeup, this is a bit of a find. Of course if you want coverage, or need to hide blemishes, red patches, dark spots and so on, then you might look to something a little more pigmented.

This Works (the brand who make this Skin Miracle) are coming up with a fair few lovely products recently and you’ll see some more reviews soon, but a quick Google just now shows that this little glow-giver is getting quite a lot of attention in the press. Rightly so, I think. It’s just a simple way of getting a healthy glow in one quick step – the caramel coloured cream needs no real blending or expert application, you just apply it like a regular moisturiser. I’d probably put it in the Complexion Enhancer category! (By the way, don’t be scared of the – quite deep – brown colour when the cream appears. It sheers out to a barely noticeable bronze!)

This looks like a good alternative to VitaZing, which is my daily face staple.

Is it worth hunting down to try it out, or are they quite similar?

Ooh I’ve actually heard good things about this before–now I’m especially curious! I love a no makeup-makeup look, so this would be great for me!

I adore this product! I use it everyday as a tinted moisturizer and it is perfect for my skin, leaves my skin glowy with a bit of color.

    Very good purchase!

Hey Ruth! This doesn’t really have anything to do with this particular post, but have you tried Pai’s Geranium Thistle Moisturiser? I believe you’ve said you have combination skin in the past (so do I) and I’m curious to give it a try.

Yes, it’s very nice and gentle. I find it takes a while to absorb though.. x

After Lisa Eldridge’s recommendation, I just had to order this. I don’t have good skin by any stretch of the imagination yet I still love this product. Once applied, it really does seem to blur imperfections. I apply foundation over the top, but need to use much less than I had been using.

    Ruth, (or anyone else),

Have you ever used Olay Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream?
I just bought it on a whim and have yet to try it. Did it work well for anyone else? I’ve read reviews where people say it also helped clear up breakouts as well as lines. Just curious!

Couldn’t agree more! We have just taken this fantastic range into our store and it has been really well received. The Skin Miracle is flying out the door faster than we can keep it in stock. Such a lovely product!

I had a foundation that was about a half shade too pale for my current skin tone, so I’ve actually been mixing it w/a half pump or so of the ‘This Works’ – well, it works! haha. It looks amazing. I used to use it as a sort of primer, but I am loving this new combo method at the moment!
