Holiday Beauty Favourites Video…

A Model Recommends Beauty Reviews

A new video for you. Actually not that new, it went up last week, but I forgot to write a post to go with it! Lots of little beauty essentials in this video, some of which you’ll have seen before, some of which you won’t. I should apologise in advance for the Cicadas in the background – I tried to edit them out with audio software but they’re just TOO BLOODY LOUD! You’ll see what I mean when you click play. If you click play. Go on, click play!

  1. I love you talking to mr.AMR (also loved his apperence on the outfit vid) haha I’m way TOO curious !

  2. Hey Ruth! Nice video you look great. Maybe it’s just me but I love the cicadas. They make the most summery background ever.

  3. Hello. I’m Sarah, my blog is Skylar Magazine. I am a new follower, visiting and commenting for the first time. I just got done watching this awesome video, all of those products sound wonderful! If I could I’d try them all. Those secadas are pretty loud little critters, but you did a great job distracting us away from them, I was more focused on what you had to say and I just drowned them out. Funny thing is, I just heard something outside my window and I think it might have been secadas. I’ve heard them before, but never realized that’s what it was. I’m not a fan of those things. I don’t like bugs at all!

Anyway, I enjoyed the video and visiting your lovely blog. You are more than welcome to stop by mine if you’d like.

Thanks and have a great day!

  4. Hi Ruth I went yesterday to the mall in Washington, DC and I couldn’t believe my eyes. You’re as a huge poster in window and all over the place :) as small brochures calls “Nature’s boost for fine hair” in ‘Aveda’ store :)
Cool really cool to think that I know you somehow through you blog and your videos :)

  5. My ears! :) Just kidding. Thanks for the video.

  6. Hey Ruth. Hope you had a fab hol. Loved your holiday products video but wanted to tell you about a once-a-day suncream I love called Ultrasun. I never liked the smell of P20 either, but Ultrasun is basically odourless. I probably have a similar skin tone to you, and the last time I went on holiday, to Cyprus, I used Ultrasun factor 30 on my face and 20 on my body and I was the only one out of my friends who didn’t burn (they used ordinary sunscreens). My mum even used it whe she went to Cuba and she rates it too.

You can get a really nice, gently sparkly version for the body as well which gives a lovely sheen. I can’t recommend it highly enough! In fact, I now use the factor 30 on my face every day, mixed with a little tinted moisturiser in summer or foundation in winter, because it gives a lovely finish on my oily skin, and it stays matt and stays on all day.

I would say it’s my ‘wonder’ product, so do give it a go as I’d love to see what you think. You can buy it all over the place – online, in Debenhams, even in Waitrose – and it’s not cheap but not hideously expensive either.

Right, eulogising over! But do try it if you haven’t already!

  7. Love your blog Ruth! Next week I’m off to Mykonos for 2 weeks – can’t wait – any tips btw? However my real question is about the Institut Esthederm products. I have a very similar colour complexion to yours and I’m wondering if ‘normal’ would be OK for holiday or if I should rather opt for the ‘extreme’ protection in the Bronz repair for face? obviously I’d prefer to only buy either one or the other. Thanks!
