My Current Makeup Routine for Filming…

model beauty blogger

Here’s my latest video – the makeup routine that I’ve been following for my latest bout of filming days. (Daily Mix TV launches next week, by the way – if you’re not subscribed, you can find all of the details on this page here.) If you were interested in seeing the Givenchy Matte foundation in more detail, then you’ll like this video – ditto if you’re looking for a look that’s non-dewy but still very radiant and healthy. Filming under hot lights and in steamy conditions (I’ve been helping out on a cooking show – I’ll talk about that next week) has meant that I’ve made a few little changes to my usual makeup routine, adding matte foundation and more oil-absorbing textures. As I used to be the dewy queen, this is all rather a departure from the norm!

I’m not going to write any more blurb because I’m absolutely zonked  – you’ll find out why tomorrow, or later on today if you follow me on Twitter and Facebook! All of the product details are below the video pane, and if you can’t see the video pane, the link is HERE.

I break out with tiny red bumps with the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light too. I have been wearing it over a thin layer of the tinted moisturiser from Korres and it seems to solve the problem. It’s an odd routine but it works for me and it doesn’t change the Double Wear’s loveliness.

What shade do you use of the foundation?

She uses 04 Mat Beige but said that she could use 03 Mat Sand if she wanted to look paler. I am on the pale side of her complexion and went for the 03 and it’s perfect.

That eye shadow quint is really flattering on you! And the Givenchy foundation looks amazing- totally tempting for someone with combo/oily skin like me. Great tutorial, as always :)

Hello Ruth! I actually purchased this foundation, the Givenchy, in 03 and I love it. The first foundation I’ve had since I got married over 5 years ago!

I was hoping you could pass on a recommendation? I have quite sensitive skin & get quite alot of blemishes and dark circles around the inside of my eyes. Is there a concealer you would recommend? Collection 2000 doesn’t suit me I think it actually makes blemishes worse, and that’s been my only go-to.
