Tammy Fender Skincare Review

When I was ill (are you getting tired of hearing about it yet? It’s like being stuck in a bad version of American Pie, isn’t it? And this one time, at band camp…) I started testing out some new skincare. Not new as in newly launched, just new to me, but it still filled me with the kind of excitement usually reserved for when people win small fortunes on the lottery or go out to pick up a new car. I’m sad like that – beauty things please me, and especially beauty things packaged up into a lovely box with a drawer that slides open. An entire little beauty regime; three weeks’ worth of cleanser, rose water, serum, peel, repair cream and (kind of incongruously) a lavender body oil.

This kit costs £130 from Cult Beauty, so it’s very firmly in the premium beauty category. Price-wise, for the full-size products, it’s at about the same level as Omorovicza or perhaps Perricone MD – we’re talking around £100 for a face cream and £35-£40 for a cleanser. A definite commitment, financially, if you were to adopt the full range – though I don’t quite think that it would work out to be as expensive as the kit pricing suggests. So, what do you get for your dough? Tammy Fender says this:

100% Botanical – living formulations created from the energy of the Earth
Certified Organic herbal infusions
Certified Organic plant oils, beneficial vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids
Natural food supplements – offering complete support & nourishment to the skin
Therapeutic grade pure essential oils – the life force of the plant or flower
Energetically balanced formulations to assist optimal health and vitality of the skin
High concentrations of naturally active ingredients
Synergistically blended formulations to promote health & healing of the skin
Products that are cruelty-free and never tested on animals
Glass packaging that is 100% recyclable
Ingredients that are sustainably harvested from the wild or grown in ways that yield the best crop with the least environmental harm

And my findings so far? Well, I’ve only done a few days, while I was at band camp ill, and I was actually very surprised at how potent the products were. They seemed to be almost supercharged, if that makes any sense? Perhaps I was more sensitive to what was happening to my body, but I really did experience a feeling of wellbeing after using the whole set of products. My skin had been dry and completely sapped of any kind of healthiness and after three little sessions it looked better than it had done before I went to band camp got ill! Perhaps I spent longer massaging it all in and really taking care with application – who knows. I’ll update you again, I’m sure, once I’ve finished the products. So far, though, I’d say that the star products are actually the two in the jars – one is an Epi-Peel and the other a Repair Balm. The peel really brightened my skin without feeling abrasive or stripping, the repair cream made my skin feel comfortable, moisturised and plump. Really very impressive.

You can find the Anti-Ageing Treatment Kit on Cult Beauty – they have loads more details on there if you fancy a read.

Hello Ruth, I would really like to know if you still use tammy fender and if you like it? I am using the antioxidant creme and the levander and fo-ti cleanser and I am very very impressed…Im dying to try her other products, but of course its extreme expensive…and now I saw on beauty bay that they are having a huge sale on the line and wanna buy the oily kit and the post healing kit, so i can try basically everything…and it would be amazing to travel with. Thank you for your suggestions and Merry Christmas!

Honest review from someone who has personally had facials at Tammy Fender in West Palm Beach. Their facials are outstanding. Quite luxe as one would expect at that price point. However, their products, while completely organic, ergo more pricey predicated on that alone, are…. alright. I’ve used both the tangerine cleansing gel (smells quite lovely) as well as the lavender something or other cleansing cream, several of their toners, the Repair Balm and the quintessential serum. My assessment: nothing spectacular. My 2 pence, of course :-)

  4. I ordered the Orange&Neroli cream and the Repair Balm last week. Can’t wait to try these. The cleansers and the tonics are too expensive though. I mean, I’d rather invest in creams.

Wish i wasn’t a student so i could splash out on some expensive skin care my skin is horrible!

You don’t necessarily need to splash out! Have a look at the Alpha-H posts and I’m going to do a budget skincare video soon. xx

1/2On the other hand, I adore Alpha H and thank Ruth again and agaIn for the recommendation. Am currently using the serum x 2 nights in a row followed with moisiturizer du jour and alternate with the Liquid Gold (sans moisturizer) every third night. Not an inexpensive brand once you factor in currency conversion (USD) , but well worth it. I ordered the large liquid gold when BeautyBay was having a sale, and
need to order another serum as backup soon. Not too certain the
cleanser and moisturizer would be worth the conversion rate when I can
buy luxe items in the US for the same price,. BUT having written that,
these two products are well worth it. Thanks again, Ruth! So glad you
        are feeling better.
