By Terry Hyaluronic Blush

face makeup review

I recommended the YSL cream blushes to death earlier on in the year, so it’s only fair that I show some love to the lightest, coolest cheek colour on the market: By Terry’s Hyaluronic Blush. You’ll be no stranger to By Terry if you’ve been reading my reviews and watching my videos; their foundations (Sheer Expert and Cover Expert) are in my top five makeup products and never fail to make me look great. Admittedly they are expensive, but I now have quite a few friends who are hooked on the stuff and refuse to use much else!

I adore the airy, fresh feel of the Hyaluronic Blush – you need just a tiny dot of it to create a realistic blush. It’s even more lightweight than the YSL blushes, if that’s at all possible, and has the most delicious scent. (Not that scent should ever matter in a blush, but somehow here it does. It’s the signature By Terry rose scent that’s just incredibly uplifting. Naughty to mention scent, as I know so many hate it in their face products, but I’m an avid collector of anything rose-y!)

If you want to see the Hyaluronic Blush in action then you can see the luxury video here. The blush costs £28 (I know, sorry, but I’m not joking when I say that you need the most minute amount at a time) and comes in two shades. I have shade 1, “Peach Posh” and it’s here at SpaceNK You’ll see that I apply very gently with fingertips and then blend out – it just glides over like silk and doesn’t disrupt the makeup underneath at all. If you love a fresher, less powdered look then stop by and give this a try – let me know what you think in the comments!

Great to hear a review from you of this Ruth as I’ve been considering getting it:)
How well/long does it last on you?

Lasts as well as the foundation beneath it, pretty much! x

Funnily enough the By Terry sheer expert and YSL cream blushes are holy grails for me too…tell me, does the By Terry blush last longer than the YSL cream blushes? I’m also tempted by the Chanel cream blushes coming out too:)

Yes, I think that it does last slightly longer actually! x

This caught my eye because I’ve used a hyaluronic moisturizer and it made my skin glow. I’m not a huge fan of powder in general (I stick to liquid BB and CC creams) so I would like to replace my powder blush with a liquid one. It doesn’t clog pores, right?

Wouldn’t have thought so. It’s super-light and you use such a tiny amount anyway! x

By Terry is hard to get a hold of here in the states, and when I do find it, the selection is limited.
You Brits are lucky to have such high quality skin care and cosmetics at your disposal!

I have to admit that I’m slightly terrified of cream blushes but after reading a few posts on them I think I may have to branch out a little and invest in some of my own xxx

Hyaluronic acid is also known to help cells retain moisture, helping smooth skin and retain elasticity.

OK. Died and gone to heaven. Will definitely try this since the skin is getting a bit old for powder blushes. Another thanks.

Thank you for this review Ruth! I’ve been wanting to try this blush for yonks! I have dry skin and frankly am sick of powder blushes looking blotchy and cakey after a few hours – this is the perfect solution.

There aren’t many reviews or videos on youtube on this product, so I’m really glad you did this review! You always look flawless – everything you recommend is always divine!
