Sunday Tittle Tattle

beauty and style news

1) I am 33 in four days’ time. No, five. Hold on – how many days until Thursday? (Blatantly I just want everyone to know that it’s my birthday coming up.) Before I turn 33 I wanted to write something profound about age; “life in your thirties” perhaps, or “the last decade: my journey”, but I keep getting distracted by eBay and ASOS. (Retro lamps and winter coats, respectively.) I’m also working every day up until my birthday apart from Tuesday and so I can’t imagine when I’m going to pen this deep and meaningful insight. Don’t wait up. (Photo above included simply to demonstrate exactly how mature I’ve become…)

Escentric Molecules Minis

2) For those of you who are now Molecule 01 enthusiasts (read here if you haven’t a clue what I’m on about): there’s quite a good offer on at Cult Beauty. Spend over £100 on Escentric Molecules products and receive a full-size bottle of Molecule 01 for free. The fragrance is worth £69.50, so not bad at all! Especially if you’re like me and get through the stuff like water – I use far too much of it, it’s addictive. This special offer is in celebration of the new minis range that has launched – all the Escentric fragrances in smaller sizes with very cool aluminium cases! They cost £38 each. Picture above. The offer is UK only, I’m afraid, and is on for 24 hours starting from 9am today. Cult Beauty

3) Zelens competition winners! Here we go: if you haven’t yet received an email and your partial address is below then check your junk! Well done to you all! Winners of the five masks are: ChloeLeedham, Stephcxh, ellen.mclaughlin, bahar_aygul and lauren_oliver91. The big prize winner, (full set, Holiday Glow) is [email protected]***

4) Short and sweet this week because last week’s Tittle Tattle was epic! I waffled on for an eternity about this and that and rubber stamp shops and beauty boutiques…  I leave you with a picture of Mr Bear, as always, and wish you a very relaxing Sunday.

First – woah, I’m older than you *shock* – your levels of immaturity aren’t a patch on mine! ;) HAPPY PRE-EMPTIVE BIRTHDAY Ruth, lots of best wishes and love and shizzle xxx

Second, thanks for the scoop on the Molecule 01! I’ve been wearing it for quite a few years (perhaps 6 bottles’ worth?) – I just cracked open the next ‘bottle in reserve’ and find it hard to wear anything else. Despite the fact that only women seem to adore it on me (which is great, but not quite what I’d hoped ;)

By the way, last weekend I had the Omorovicza facial at Liberty by Dominica… it was amazing, such a gorgeous treat, and really firm massage, took me into the zone. X)

Hope you have a super treatful and delicious week xx

Molecule 01 mini? This is what I’ve been waiting for. I take it everywhere. I’ve never received so many compliments from men and women on a fragrance my entire life. I’m hesitant to share what I’m wearing when I’m asked. Thank you very much for the rec. :) I buy so many of the products you recommend and this is in my top favorites of all time.

That photo did a good job at making me almost spit out my coffee, laughing!

What is it about birthdays eh, that makes us either all philosophical or sentimental? I always feel the need to have a good look back & assess the year past, then make changes for the next. In reality, nowt much changes (bar maybe a few more fine lines)!

I think we’re at the best age (as one 32 going on 33-er to another). I say this every year!

Wanted to thank you for the pengiun clothbound classics tip too Ruth. Let’s just say a few people will be smiling down on Alice, Dicken’s finest Christmas tales & others this year ;)
I’ve decided I need them all, as not only are they all brilliant books, they’ll look amazing on the shelf x

    haha that picture!
I’m also having a birthday soon – turning *cough* 30 *cough*. I’m having a bit of a crisis with that.
Did you ever get christmas-themed presents for your birthday? It used to annoy me when I got things like Santa socks or Christmas decorations for my birthday. I wished people would give different things like bikinis and beach pareos or something…lol
These days I don’t really mind anymore.

Happy almost-Birthday, Ruth! And Mr. Bear always adds a smile to my Sunday :)

Happy birthday, you’ll be the same age as me. I think I’ll cope ok until 35…thirties are fun, until you’re on the back half I suppose. You can still be beautiful and fabulous but you have more maturity, confidence, and control over your life than anyone in their twenties. It’s an awesome time. Enjoy the day!!
