August Beauty Favourites

august beauty favourites

Late with this. Sorry. I honestly thought that we had another couple of weeks left in August – I’m appear to be stuck in a kind of time-warp at the moment! This month’s favourite products seem to be following a kind of “perfect skin” theme – completely unintentional – with a gorgeous glow serum (see full review here) as well as a skin-blurring pre-foundation fluid and a very good full-coverage base. Have a look – I filmed this with very minimal daylight and no extra lighting at all, so you can really see how the products get to work with creating the ultimate skin glow. Of particular note is the NIOD Photography Fluid, which just creates the most amazingly flawless base – I’ll be reviewing it properly soon, but you can find it online here if you want to read more.

Hi Ruth, thank you for sharing with us and congratulations on the birth of your baby girl and finally moving back to your home!
And thank you for sharing your fertility journey; it came at a time I needed some clear thinking as we struggled for a couple of years. We were lucky that the NHS agreed to fund ivf treatment, but thought I give acupuncture a go and I’m now 10 weeks pregnant! The joy of calling the clinic to tell them we won’t need their help!!…Not sure if it was the hysterosalpingogram that helped and/or the acupuncture, or that after 6 months of conveyancing we had finally moved in our new home!
Anyway, I am happily now checking out all things pregnancy & baby related:) So even though both products from Deciem sound great and I will consider them, I have a couple of questions on the Mama Mio product. I checked the link you put and they recommend to use it 3 times a day; sorry if I sound thick but will I need to take it to work and apply it in the toilet cubicle at lunchtime? Would it absorb easily? And the second question is on how long it lasts? I guess it depends on the size of the bump, but some indication? Is it pretty runny, so a little goes a long way?
    Thank you xx from Brighton

    Ruth,
Can you please recommend good London-based rhinoplasty surgeons? I know you might not have needed yourself, but since you are in beauty industry, maybe you have insider knowledge/ could look into clinics? I feel many of your readers could benefit x

I’m so glad all is well with your baby. I’d love to know if you’re wearing anything on your lips in this tutorial and if so what – if not then your natural lip colour is beautiful.
