Sheer and Natural Everyday Makeup

sheer and natural makeup look

A very sheer and natural makeup look for you in this video – dewy textures, glowy formulas and a healthy, youthful sort of finish. Those thinking of investing in either the Hourglass Illume Trio or Becca’s Aqua Luminous foundation might find it particularly interesting as I use both items here! I’ll try and do an in-depth review of the Aqua Luminous this week with skin close-ups – it really has such a lovely finish, though coverage is quite light and longevity isn’t amazing

Hey Ruth, looks beautiful & radiant. How foes the Bare Minerals powder compare with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder?

Hi Ruth. I just wanted to ask your advice on something. I am heading to South East Asia for 2 weeks over summer and am a regular user of acid toners and retinols. Would you recommend laying off these completely whilst I am away? I will be using a high spf and also wearing a sun hat alot of the time. Thanks!

I finally bought a foundation brush and God my life changed! I always used my fingers before but it was never quite perfect, I’m glad I changed! I just don’t know how often I have to wash it (I think everyday but it’s a bit of a hassle :-( )
Thank you for the tutorial, it’s perfect for the summer !

You only need to wash your brushes every few uses I wash mine once a month as I don’t apply foundation everyday hope this helps

Liquid and cream foundation, I would say you need to wash it after each use. Otherwise, you don’t know what is growing inside… And results could be a few spots on your face… Also, you may notice that using a clean brush gives better results. Powder foundation, once a week! A quick wash with a bar of soap, good rinsing, and lay flat to dry… it takes less than 2 minutes, I promise! Enjoy your new brush, I still remember my first one :-)

I always dream about makeup like that – glowy, shimmery…but with my problematic oily skin I can only wish :(
