Hi Jennie I have to agree with you on this one I’m no big fan of cleanse and polish either, it’s ok but didn’t really improve my skin, and I found I had to use four pumps to cleanse my skin so one bottle was only lasting me around 2 weeks really don’t know how anyone could use just one pump!
Anyway I can happily recommend a few cleansers that I use, akin geranium cleanser is nice, barefoot botanicals creamy facewash, sadly now discontinued but afew places still have it, this works face wash ( not a wash really but a creamy cleanser) boots sell this, Pai cleanser, barefoot botanicals SOS facewash, I use all these along with the liz Earle muslin corks which IMO can’t be beaten on quality. I try a lot of cleansers because I’m a bit of a skincare junkie…and I get the occasional breakout. All of the ones I tried seemed to have no effect on the clearness of my skin..until i tried Cleanse and Polish. Then I just fell in love :)

I have been following your fabulous video for about, oh gosh…..can’t even recall now. I have been a favourite of Alpha-H’s Liquid Gold ever since you recommend it. For my age of 40s & a beauty junkie……I would be trill to try this mask. Thanks again for your fab vids & review. Enjoy everyone of it.

@Elle By Terry is my absolute fave, nothing beats it! It’s pricey though – and this is a completely different texture. Very light, good for oily I’d say! Give it a try at your counter and let me know what you think! x

Hey Ruth,

On an aside, I brought some Alpha H Liquid Gold and I was wondering what kind of moisturiser you use the day after. I have quite a few but even my Pai Geranium and Thistle has Lactic Acid. I found a moisturiser without in my stash but it contains Retinol. Now I have been doing some research into Retinol and from what I understand it is not Retin A but some of it may change into Retin A on your skin but only the smallest percentage. Do you think a cream with Retinol would be safe for the day after using Liquid Gold? If not could you let me know what it is you use?
