I have found another perfect nude nail varnish in the form of Models Own’s new Pro polish in “Stark Naked”. This nude has quite purplish undertones and a very fine, almost imperceptible gold shimmer. You can see the shimmer in the bottle, but on the nails it just gives the nude shade a very flattering gleam. I think that it’s a very clever and sophisticated colour.
This was so easy to apply, and one coat seemed to do the trick quite nicely. Two would probably have been better, but I get bored very easily and rarely stretch to two coats of anything. Mascara included. The doorbell went ding-dong approximately thirty seconds after I had finished painting and despite having to find my keys, open two doors, take delivery of a huge box and sign a silly electronic parcel form, nails were unscathed. Very good going!
Don’t you think that this colour looks really quite posh? I think that it will definitely be a shade that I rely on for last-minute panic grooming! The new Pro range is free from chemical nasties (“3-Free” as it is marketed now) and has added Vitamin E. I think that the formula is excellent – I’m no nail fanatic, but I know when something’s easy to apply, and I know when something looks good. Tick and tick!
Models Own Pro Polishes are £8 from Boots.
