The weleda is the best balm cleanser. Better than Eve Lom, TIMY, as good as Elemis and Emma Hardie but quarter of the price. I am on my … 6th? I do hate trying to get the last bits out of the tube but it’s HG. Couldn’t be without it. Also works excellently as a mask.

Now off to look at tea towels.

Huge fan of the tea towels. Mine are a dark green stripe and they are indestructible! I’ve also spotted them on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen!

I did not see myself buying tea towels today, but when I saw these I thought "yes, I do need new tea towels" and ordered them straight away! Thanks Ruth!

Hey Ruth, I’m really hoping that Praise the Hoard ships to Australia 🇦🇺 I live in a beautiful part of Australia, but sadly lack any antique type shops or thrift stores in a 400km radius. 😢

I hope they ship here too. Thinking of a quirky little house or shop for a granddaughter.

I’m sure they can organise couriers - I’ve bought antiques from all over the shop

Hello Ruth, it’s lovely to hear from you, and I sincerely hope that I can ship a couple of items that would look gorgeous in my home. Any other shops that you buy from would be very interesting to have a gander at too! I love the Marks and Sparks tea towels, now I have to find one of my UK relatives to go and buy me a few and post them to me. You have always been the downfall of my no buying phases, I just can’t help it as I love 99% of what you show us. Just wish I still had the legs to wear the Adidas shorts. Mind you, I guess they would be perfect for gardening attire now that it’s spring and bulbs are in full bloom, wisteria in magical lilac tendrils winding their way across my front verandah and up along my bull nosed wrap around the house verandah roof , daffodils, tulips and of course my beloved hydrangeas. I’ve done a bit of damage online shopping today with several items that you’ve recommended. Cannot wait to try the Weleda cleansing barn. I was going to lash out and buy the Ellemis rose balm, but the inflation rate not to mention tariffs (sssh, don’t mention the dreaded newly imposed tarrifs) has made it far too expensive to buy it here - absolutely exorbitant price increases. So i did of nosing around on Amazon and bought myself several items you’ve shown us recently. Keep up the brilliant work as my personal shopping adviser please! Love that they will be delivered by 15:00 tomorrow! Bye for now, can’t wait to hear your next vlog/blog/whatever it is now! Love, Di

I do like the Elemis but it is now SO expensive! Do you know what I did on holiday (and it felt so boujee): I mixed some plain cleansing balm from Farmacy with a few drops of the MV skincare rose oil. Oh my god it was amazing!! Tbh in the long run I’m not sure it would be any cheaper and it feels like SACRILEGE flanneling off such an amazing oil but it was a very satisfying workaround at the time…

Than you, thank you, thank you Ruth. It stuck out, hit me square in the face and made me so unreasonably happy! You treated us as adults and said that the cleanser removes make up, dirt and grime, not make up and " impurities". I mean how appalled would you be if you cleansed thoroughly and you were still covered in impurities? And folk were walking around with impurities? 😄 Impurities. Load of old * beep*. I actually bristle every time I see that, which is always, except you.
