You *can* wash cashmere: it's a bit more of a faff than with some other fabrics, but it's definitely doable (says the woman with approximately 5 million charity-shop cashmere items...)
I'm a bit hopeless, can't work out the time difference between Britain and Australia! So have a very happy 10/10 birthday - cake, holiday, time off and anything else your heart desires!
