I’ve worn my Apple Watch for over 5 years but was curious about the Oura ring, then I saw your post and took the plunge. I’ve had it 3 weeks now, there was a blip when my first one stopped connecting and I returned it to JL no problem. I don’t think it will do everything I need, I can’t lift weights wearing it and I can’t play golf wearing it (I’ve tried every finger and it’s just uncomfortable) so for those activities I still wear my Apple Watch. The workouts recorded on the watch transfer into Oura so I still get the all important credit 😉 I’m on a Oura FB group (for my sins!) and it does seem like people have a lot of technical issues with both the app and the ring, so I’ll have to see how it goes. So thank you for your reviews, they were really useful x

I’ve had mine since January 2023 and last November it started running out of battery within a day or two. I contacted support, they ran diagnostics and sent me a new one. So if you have any issues let them know - in my experience they’re extremely helpful and I haven’t had any other issues so far - touch wood.

Interesting re weights as I’m about to start, why can’t you wear it, does it dig in? I’ve found connection completely seamless, which I was surprised by as had also read things online. I wonder whether it’s an android issue as it occurred to me today that I know seven people with Oura, all with iPhones and never a problem!

Yeah it’s not comfortable with heavy dumbbells, it digs in and I feel like it would get scratched. Same with the golf club grip, it hurts a bit (at least I could blame my bad shots on it 😂). I always intended to keep my Apple Watch and use both as I do the Apple Fitness strength workouts and use the Peleton - both link up with the Apple watch to show HR on screen. But I am enjoying wearing the ring at other times so I can actually wear a nice watch, which I really started to miss.

I have an iPhone - Oura said my connectivity issues were down to a problem with the ring. The new one has been ok 🤞

The only other issue is since this warm weather, I’ve had to change which finger I wear it on. It was a perfect fit but my hands get swollen in the heat and it was just too tight. So I am wearing on my non-dominant index finger now x
