Love this! Had followed your blog for a long time but after reading this post I had to comment, as I have the same issue as I’m a tall girl and can’t manage to wear the 4inch heels now I’m 40 and my health is not the best and years ago I used to admire the shoes LK Bennett had but they all seemed too high, so these are perfect, and have they have the black pair left in my size! Perfect height to look stylish without being in agony!

Thank you, Ruth! I wish you and your family a lovely Christmas!xx

I had some snakeskin Ferns back in the day and I wish I'd kept them as my teenage girls would die for them now. I sold them when it got to the point that my feet hurt just looking at them. I am tempted by some Florets though as I could really do with something like that in my 'smart section'. Where my Funeral Dress TM also lives. Another essential you need to bring out occasionally but never needs replacing.

I had a pair of these exact shoes in the taller style from my modelling days in about 2011. At the time, I decided on a beige suede pair but I dyed them black (don’t recommend..kind of look green now). I have a random memory of wearing them in a fashion week casting and one shoe flew off my foot lol. On the other hand, for other occasions that do not entail strutting at speed (!) they are very well made with a solid heel !

If I still had feet that weren’t disabled, I would snap these up! The most comfy heels I ever owned (still in my wardrobe, I can wear heels on a night that involves walking to the taxi/into a restaurant/to the loo and back only!) were LK Bennett. Glorious, emergency purchase from Kendalls in Manchester at lunchtime when my work Christmas party was in the evening, at least 10 years ago.

Alas hallax rigidus and an often misaligned pelvis keep me in flats now, which is both a blessing (I love flats, I’m so much less likely to fall over too, winner winner for this clumsy gal) and a curse (heels look so lush).

I can’t believe they were the one colour that was half price! It’s the best one!

I remember reading a post you did about Fern years ago and thinking "bloody hell! I can't walk in those!" (I am just under 40 now) so bought Floret instead. No regrets. One of my most worn pairs, but I only have in one colour...

Hahaha! I was looking back through shoe posts last night (surprising number of them actually) and thinking how the actual hell did I ever stand in some of them…
