Simple Sultry Summer Look…

makeup tutorial model

This is the video that accompanies my latest feature for the Telegraph – Luxury Summer Makeup Treats. I’ll link to that piece at the bottom of the page – it’s a roundup of my favourite high-end bits and bobs for this season. Delights include the new cream shadow from Tom Ford, a ridiculously bright lip colour from Hourglass and this year’s Illuminating Powder Gelée from Estée Lauder (best shade yet!).

This video for A Model Recommends is almost a “behind-the-scenes” version of the Telegraph video – I demonstrate lots of the products and create a simple, sultry summer look. I promised a while ago that I’d show the YSL Marrakech Sunset palette on film and also the Max Factor Miracle Foundations, so here they are. I have to say that I’m really, really impressed with the Max Factor foundation – between that and Clinique’s Even Better, my faith in compact foundations has been restored! I apply using my Real Techniques buffing brush, but you could just as well use the included sponge, if you prefer. I just can’t be bothered to wash mine!

Oh – before I forget, I’ve given some affordable alternatives to a few of the luxury products and popped them in the information section below. I haven’t given an option for everything, just the products that I knew a reasonably good “dupe” for. Well, they’re not even dupes, really, just similar products that I’m using a lot at the moment.

Those reading via email will need to click here to see the video – everyone else look below! If you’d like to see the Telegraph feature then please click here.
