Some Handy Little Bargains: July 2011

8 hour gift set
Some handy little bargains from CheapSmells that have come to my notice over the past few days – the first is this 8 hour cream set from Elizabeth Arden. It contains the full-sized skin protectant (an acquired taste, scent-wise, but it’s one of the most-used backstage and beauty shoot products) and then you get a 30ml hand cream and a 15ml face cream with SPF15. In Boots, the 8 hour cream skin protectant alone retails at £25, but CheapSmells have the entire set on sale at £20.95. Bloody marvellous. See here: for more details.

burts bees aloe body

Secondly, I just stocked up on one of my favourite body moisturisers, the Aloe and Buttermilk lotion from Burt’s Bees. Truly lovely. Smells great and it’s light and soothing. The perfect summer lotion? Perhaps! CheapSmells (again! God bless them!) have it at £5.99 – it’s usually a tenner, so nice discount. Details here:

mini moroccanoil

Lastly; this one’s not actually that much of a bargain, so apologies. What it is, however, is a brilliant way of trying out Moroccanoil if you don’t want to invest in the full-sized version. It works out more expensive ml-for-ml than the larger size, but for those who would rather test the waters before they take the plunge then it’s a useful introduction to the range. It’s £12.85 at HQHair – and I’ll also point out that it does last quite a considerably long time. Unless you leave it on the floor. With the lid off. Next to the ‘pants and socks’ drawer.
