1) Newly launched bodycare brand Mio is definitely one to put on your “must try” list. Some of the products in their line-up might already sound familiar to you – the Boob Tube bust firming treatment and Shrink to Fit cellulite cream are little gems that I’ve mentioned before – but you may have known them as part of the Mama Mio brand, which caters more specifically for pregnancy and post-pregnancy care. Mio is all about high intensity bodycare, fit skin and being proactive about taking care of yourself – you can see from the packaging (which I love, by the way) that it has a sporty, modern feel. Old favourites have had a bit of an ingredients overhaul and there are loads of completely new products that I’ll be posting about individually, no doubt, as and when I’ve given them a good old test!
But for now; one for Londoners. Or those who can easily get into London. Or those visiting London, or planning on visiting London. (You get the idea.) Mio are going to be hosting “Wonder Workouts” on the 29th March (Saturday) at the Danceworks Studio opposite Selfridges. These classes are going to be high intensity and fun and those attending get a Mio goodie bag worth over £65! The ticket price, £15, goes completely to the cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better, so you can get fit, receive a goodie bag and make money for a good cause all at the same time.
There are three classes:
10.15-11.25: Ballet with a Twist
12.45-13.55: MTV Moves
Head over to http://danceworks.net/workout-mio/ to register and get all of the details you need.
2) ASOS has an extra 20% off sale items this weekend (they already have 70% off). This means that I’ll be spending a considerable amount of time pretending to be working in my office, when in fact I am poring over the ASOS sales dregs and trying to work out whether the polyester print trousers will give me electric shocks whenever I move… You need to use the code “20MORE” at the checkout to get the extra discount. Code is valid until 8am tomorrow morning.
3) Animals. Cat, above, in a box. Dog, below, posing on the sofa. Behaviour update: they are getting along very well and play-fight almost constantly if they can get away with it. So far, no injuries, but I’m keeping the cat-claws short just in case he suddenly loses his cool…
