Sunday Tittle Tattle: Do Not Disturb

polzeath cornwall perfect stays

I’m on holiday. Last week we went to Cornwall for four nights and stayed in a lovely house in Polzeath with Perfect Stays (post coming up) and then by the time we got back (to a broken boiler and a freezing cold house) it was the double-bank-holiday and so I decided to just stay off.

When I say “off” I obviously don’t mean completely, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this post and editing photos so that there’s a picture to go with it and also processing a video file for tonight’s beauty vid… But after I’ve done all of that the laptop is being stowed away and I’m burying my iPhone in the garden. Or – perhaps that’s a bit drastic – switching off the Wifi. I’ve actually been quite good at not using my iPhone in the evenings, but that’s mainly because I use the Sound Sleeper app to get the baby to sleep and then don’t want to risk waking her up by creeping in to retrieve it!

So I wish you all a very happy Easter, if you celebrate it, and a restful Sunday if you don’t. I’m going to see if I can wangle a few hours in bed to finish reading my David Sedaris book Me Talk Pretty One Day. It’s so funny. The man is a comic genius. I recently rediscovered him after a decade or so and – to my joy – found lots of his books that I hadn’t yet read. Just glorious.
