Dr Stuart’s Liver Detox Tea

Posted · 6 Comments

I have spent the day lying very still, with my eyes closed (some call it sleeping), and in my upright moments I have been sipping mugs of Dr Stuart’s tea. The reason for this rather melancholy Sunday? I’d rather not go into any fine detail, but let’s just say that the recycling men will be busy this Wednesday with the empty bottle mountain that will be outside my house. I should probably warn them to bring a back-up team and an extra truck.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, and we can’t afford to dwell on these things, especially when we need to look fresh and youthful for Monday’s castings. So the usual masks and pomades will be applied later, but in the meantime there is no better way to kick-start the old cleansing process than from the inside. I really mean that – topical cleansers are all very well, but if your body is full of toxins then your skin can never look its best.
The Liver Detox tea by Dr Stuart is superb, I have found. It doesn’t taste bad at all and it contains powerful cleansing herbs such as dandelion, liquorice and milk thistle. The tea-bags are individually wrapped and convenient to keep in your bag to take to work with you. Milk thistle protects the liver as well as helping it to detoxify, so this tea is great to drink for a few days before a big event where you know that you’ll be overdoing things on the drinking and eating front!
At around £2 for twenty tea-bags, it is one of the most cost-effective and hard-working rescue remedies out there.

Hi! I’m wondering If it’s normal, but after I drank the tea I felt like I was going to die, 3 days on bed… with serious healing crisis side effects! but now I feel like i’m a new person or like I just reborn or something… I think that maybe it was because I spend a year and a half taking so various anti depressant pills, maybe when they get out of my system I feel weird!

I think that drinking this tea could not possibly knock you out for 3 days. It’s definitely a coincidence with something else. I am a heavy drinker and have been taking beta-blockers and stomach medicines for over 3 years and have a fatty liver condition. I drink Liver Detox regularly along with other anti-oxidants (from Holland & Barrett mainly) but nothing of the effect it had on you has ever happened to me. The tea has a disgusting taste and can make you feel nauseous briefly but it is no way powerful enough to knock you out for 3 days. The only way that would be possible is if you drank some hardcore powerful Chinese detox tea and were severely intoxicated from long term abuse of drugs, alcohol, pills (many pills!). So yeah, don’t worry, it may have triggered a detox effect in your body which then occurred naturally. Anti-depressants can pollute your liver but not to an extent of severe intoxication, only if you overdosed. I would recommend Milk Thistle or Dandelion containing products such as capsules, liquid extracts or teas. Good luck!

Hi! thank you for your response.

Actually I drank that same tea, Dr Starts Liver Detox tea. I’m still wondering what happened.

I still have the box but i’m too scared to continue taking them.

I hope is just a healing crisis or something !

  4. I’m a fan of Dr. Stuart’s Liver Detox, it definitely makes me feel better, even hours after the ‘event’. This could just be the good old placebo effect at work, but I’m still inclined to think that it does have genuine benefits.
