April Favourites

april favourites

There are perhaps a couple of familiar things in this month’s favourites video; the l’Oreal Revitalift SPF25 is a new discovery and the review very recent, so probably still fresh in your minds, and the Hylamide Glow, a liquid face serum that imparts the most gradual of gradual tans, was a firm favourite at the end of summer last year. I posted about it here, but it has made a spectacular return to my everyday beauty arsenal.

Toleriane Fluid from La Roche-Posay is another skincare staple that has returned to the fold – so light and fluid but intensely hydrating, it’s perfect for troublesome oily-and-dehydrated skin.  (You can find it online here.) Sticking to the lightweight theme, Murad’s almost entirely weightless Invisiblur Perfecting Shield is a broad spectrum sun protection that leaves  a sort of perfecting veil over the skin. It does have some of the dry, velvety-touch finish of a silicone-heavy primer, but not enough to set your teeth on edge.

Watch the video for the rest of this month’s favourites, including a mirror that can see into your soul (kind of) and the best nursing bra for breastfeeding women. I realise how niche that is, but I have bought four of these now and they are brilliant. Off you go, viewing goggles on…

Haha I’m with you there with needing a good nursing bra, even if they do all look like hammocks! Mine still fit after 2 years, I only breastfed for 6 months but they didn’t really go down afterwards. I do have new bras but they’re not as comfy as my nursing bras, sad I know! I love Toleraine, the cream though, for my seborrhoeic dermatitis, and Murad Invisible Shield is brilliant for summer. No worries about thick chalky SPF face creams!

Boden seemed to have lots of stock problems this year – I’m ibssessed with their cord pinnies and floral peterpan collared vests for my daughter – there is a preloved boden group on Facebook brand new new season stock comes in all the time because people often panic buy two sizes

One of my best friends has used La Roche Posay products for years and I’ve recently started using their moisturiser .. they are good indeed. Thank you for the nursing bra tip – since I’ve been breastfeeding I’ve only worn about two different outfits, some clothes just fit so much better with it.

The only thing I don’t love about Toleraine is the rather teeny amount in the pump tube! But it is brilliant for rescuing meltdown skin, for example when you have *cough* overdone it with the Liquid Gold ;). I also love the cleanser from the same range, very light and simple but seems to get more dirt off than anything else I’ve tried!

Have heard nothing but good things about La Roche-Posay’s Toleriane Fluid before your post, but I think it’s time I have a test myself!

I am also thoroughly enjoying Hylamide Glow at the moment. It’s a great little serum! I’m in to the Toleriane too, but I haven’t given it a good test run yet, I’ve got high hopes!

I love almost everything from La Roche-Posay and Toleraine Fluid is amazing!
