Excuse my blusher overload in this video – I got rather carried away testing that new Hourglass palette that everyone is raving about. (It’s nice, very glowy, not for everyone. God forbid any of the powders catch you around the eye area – it’s like putting a spotlight on your fine lines! Anyway, it’s not out for a couple of weeks, I’ll do a post.)

I sort of wish that I had done a “behind the scenes” vlog, too, because my filming set-up was – quite frankly – ridiculous. I couldn’t sit on the floor (too pregnant) so I sat on a wicker hamper, but the wicker hamper COMPLETELY COLLAPSED under the weight of me. I almost punctured my bottom by landing on a pair of precise-point tweezers and along the way I crashed into a carefully stacked pile of makeup palettes. It was carnage.

Anyway, I’ll leave you with that mental image – do enjoy!

Before you said anything I thought how lovely and youthful your blush looked in this video. A healthy flush!

Oh Ruth, you are just so very likeable!! Obviously we’ve never met and likely never will, yet you are so engaging and your writing is so descriptive and personal it feels as though you are a treasured and much admired girlfriend. Thank you for sharing with us your gorgeous, goofy, witty self, your lovely mum, angelic Angelica and, of course, your honest thoughts and reviews on all the beauty goodies!

Ha, thank you for a good laugh with this behind the scenes insight. The You Tube life is oh so glamorous!

I love a good energy surge. Wish I had more of them because I’d be so much more productive! Thanks for the book recommendation: I have been looking for books that are more than those typical voices you hear in the Girl on the Train and Gone Girl etc. Body butter for the face sounds like something I really need; I definitely struggle with winter skin, I just turn into a flake fest!
