My money no object wish lust starts with Christmas away in cosy house by the sea that has a full complement of near invisible staff to do all the cooking, cleaning, washing up, picking up family, taking family home, etc.

Basically a perfect stress free Christmas through to 2nd January with added beach walks with the dog!

My friend who is a Partner at a Big-time Property Law Firm bought herself a YSL quilted bag, last year (and I think it cost £4k !!?!!!) 🤪

Ruth I just bought the Simplehuman lit mirror you recommended as it has been on MY wishlist for bloody YEARS so I took the plunge. My goodness it’s great. I’m too old to buy yet another Amazon knock off that breaks immediately. Buy the thing you want!!

I’m so glad! It’s life changing. I’ve just been using mine to pluck all my new face hairs.

Also Team R&V Creams over here! The absolute best. And only from Charbonnel & Walker too. Other brands are always so inferior. Choc too thin. Filling too chalky. C&W’s are just right. Love your list Ruth! 🩷💜🤎

I am SO with you on the rose and violet creams! Such an absolute treat :-)

Oh my God! So good! How can people not like them? More for me...

Also though - why are they so expensive?!!! When nobody but us likes them?

LOVE these chocolates, there is an Australian brand (owned/made) called Haighs Chocolates sometimes I just nip in and buy some on a bad day (I NEVER have to share them, my family thinks they taste like bubble bath water!)

BritishBeautyBlogger's avatar

Yes that’s the best thing - nobody else wants them!

They’re ridiculous. Maybe violet essence is pricey.

These are my absolute favourite too. No insight into costliness. Maybe hand made in small batches as fewer sold than their truffles?

BritishBeautyBlogger's avatar

Possibly - they are quite a specific taste profile.

Personally I just think we’re being penalised for our exceptional-yet-unusual tastes.

I think you’re right. #notfair
